Restorative Services

Visiting your dentist for an in-depth exam and cleaning can determine if your smile and overall oral health can benefit from restorative dentistry. Restorative procedures include fillings, crowns, bridges, inlays and onlays, and dental implants.

Fillings

Fillings are used to treat cavities. Your dentist will remove decay and fill your tooth with a filling material, based on your needs. There are different types of filling materials that have different strengths, appearances, and costs. Our team will help determine the best type of filling for you.

Crowns

A dental crown, also known as a cap, is a hollow artificial tooth used to cover and protect a damaged or decayed tooth. A crown can restore the appearance and function of your teeth and be made from different materials, depending on what’s right for you.

Bridges

Dental Implants

A dental implant can be used to replace teeth that are missing or need to be removed due to damage or decay. Dental implants consist of 2 parts: a metal anchor and an artificial tooth.

The metal anchor is surgically inserted into the jawbone which replaces the natural root. The artificial tooth is then securely attached to the anchor and can function just like your natural teeth.

Inlays & Onlays

Inlays and onlays can be used if your hygienist finds tooth decay or damage.

An inlay is a pre-moulded filling that fits into the grooves of your teeth, typically used for cavities that are centred in your tooth. If the damage has spread in between the teeth to the outer edges or biting surface, an onlay is used. An onlay, also known as a partial crown, is created outside the mouth before being cemented onto the tooth.

Our Location

Dr. Masse and her team are available even when their office is closed. You can reach us by calling the emergency number 647-613-5437 at any time. Urgent dental issues typically include recent injuries to the mouth and/or teeth, tooth pain, swollen face from a tooth infection, fractured teeth or post-surgical inquiries. It is helpful to have photos of the dental issue, so you may want to take a few pictures with your phone and have them ready to send to us before calling. We know it’s not always easy to get a photograph, but just try your best.
